Geography
Countries, capitals, landforms, and physical geography.
Maps, mountains, monsoons, and more — quiz your understanding of how the world is laid out.
Geography splits cleanly into three blocks: physical (landforms, climate systems, ocean currents, the structure of the earth's interior), human and economic (population, agriculture, industry, urbanisation, transport networks), and political (countries, capitals, borders, time zones, major cities). Indian geography is treated as a separate sub-block within each — physiographic divisions, river systems and their tributaries, soil and crop patterns, state capitals, and the railway and highway networks. Easy rounds stay with continents, oceans, and the capital cities most people learned by ten. Medium rounds expect a working mental map: which country borders which, which mountain range runs through which set of states, which river drains into which sea. Hard rounds reach for tributaries instead of mainstems, second-tier capitals, the specific latitude of a tropic, and the names of straits and isthmuses you may have read once and forgotten. This category is staple material for UPSC and state PSC prelims and remains popular with school students preparing for olympiads. Casual players who travel — or who watch a lot of football and cricket — tend to do better than they expect.
